Currently, RPM Services Inc. performs field inspections on all G.E. and Westinghouse frames through the 7FA and 501F respectively.  This includes units with Dry Low NOx combustion systems. RPM Services can supply all levels of expertise, from technical direction to skilled labor.

Combustor Inspection

Removal, inspection and installation of replacement combustor section components including: fuel nozzles, combustor baskets/cans, transitions, and row one vane segments or first stage nozzle.  Duration ranges from 3 to 6 days depending on tubine fram, scope, replacement parts, and a 2-12 shift schedule.

Hot Gas Path Inspection

Removal, inspection and installation of replacement hot components including the removal of the turbine blades/buckets, blade rings/nozzles, vanes and interstage seals.  This inspection requires the removal of the turbine cylinder upper half to access the components.  Duration ranges from 8 to 12 working days depending on turbine frame, scope, replacement parts, and a 2-12 shift schedule.

Major Inspection

Removal, insepction, and installation of replacement components included the Combustor and Hot Gas Path inspections plus removal and inspection of the rotor, bearings, and the stationary compressor components.  This inspection may include the disassembly, electrical testing, and inspection of the generator stator and rotor.
